Evaluation of rapeseed meal and a urea based concentrate (promol 80) plus saponins for cereal fed beef cattle
(Harper Adams University College, Newport, OK, Mai 2008)
In partnership with the Harper Adams University College of Newport and Rumenco, Nor-Feed Sud tested the efficiency of Phytovia Rumin. This premix additive in development is based on three saponin-containing plants extracts: Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugrec), Yucca Schidigera and Quillaja Saponaria.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of 4 rations on the zootechnical performances of 88 three months-old cattle, for one year:
- R1: oatmeal, rapeseed meal, beet pulp, treacle, minerals
- R2: R1 + Phytovia Rumin
- R3: oatmeal, beet pulp, urea, treacle
- R4: R3 + Phytovia Rumin
Phytovia Rumin rate inclusion was 0,5g per kg of feed in R2 and R4 rations.
The graphic results are obtained from R1 and R3 data on the one hand, and R2 and R4 (Phytovia Rumin) in the other hand.
Therefore, Phytovia Rumin is a particularly efficient additives premix to fatten ruminants.
